A Junior Business Analyst has experience in the effective use of data provided by cost estimators to create overall cost versus benefit assessment while considering functional benefits, technical performance, risks, and schedule concerns.
Junior Business Analyst, Formulate and define systems scope and objective based on both user needs and comprehension of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Analyze or modify procedures to solve complex problems while considering computer equipment capability and limitations, operating time, and form of expected results, including analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translating them into proper system requirement specifications. Guide and advise junior business systems analysts. Work with and support Senior Business analysts with agendas, meeting minutes, documentation, and training. Work with intuitive judgment, supplying requested information, scheduling appointments, preparing special reports such as monthly financial summary reports, weekly deliverables, and administrative staffing reports. Assist with formal document routing and storage internally and with outside agencies. Make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work within established guidelines. Arrange special events, meetings, conferences, and working groups in accordance with the procedures and schedules set by the requestor, including notifying participants, providing agendas and directions, and offer arrangements for equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
· Business Analyst experience
· Knowledge of various software types, including spreadsheets, word processing, and graphics, databases, and the functions and features of programs in each category
· Ability to interface with senior leadership and brief government customers
· Ability to obtain a security clearance
· BA or BS degree
· Experience with the VA is preferred, especially with VA Financial Services Center (FSC)
· Public trust clearance, preferred
