JOB DESCRIPTION:
 
Responsible for the promotion of builds and management of the tools used to manage and promote builds to the different environments (Development, Integration, Pre-production, and Production).
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
•          Work with Cloud Architecture and DevOps team to implement a secure, agile, effective Build Management System (BMS) cloud environment.
•          Work closely with developers and architects to enable both groups to create and deploy high quality applications faster
•          Integrate systems using a wide variety of protocols like REST, SOAP, MQ, TCP/IP, JSON and others
•          Design and build automated code deployment systems that simplify development work and make our work more consistent and predictable.  You’ll do this by orchestrating environment deployment from OS all the way through the application layers of a solution, using tools such as Docker, Saltstack, Jenkins and many others
•          Exhibit a deep understanding of server virtualization, networking and storage ensuring that the solution scales and performs with high availability and uptime
•          Create mechanisms/architectures that enable rapid recovery, repair and cleanup of faulty migrations with good understanding of fault tolerance and failure domains
•          Identify opportunities to deliver self service capability for the most common infrastructure and application management tasks
•          Create automated tests that easily plug into our automated code pipeline
•          Provide deep and detailed levels of monitoring across all levels of the application
•          Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external customers.
 
Required skills/experience:
 
•          Design/Build automation tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet)
•          Experience with automated build scripts used for release management across environments
•          Experience with automated testing tools
•          Must possess strong numerical ability and solid communication skills.
•          Must value working in a collaborative and cooperative environment to meet deadlines.
•          Willingness to participate in process documentation.
•          Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
•          Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline
•          Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently.
•          Customer oriented
•          Able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination for a public trust clearance/investigation.
•          Accepts and performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.
