Master’s degree in Computer Science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline.

Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Must be a US citizen.
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Contractor shall perform support services with the VA UCIS division:
Must have prior experience in installing, operating, and maintaining voice/data telecommunications systems and networks, as well as other online meeting tools.
1. Current systems to support:
a. Cisco Call Manager
b. Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)
c. Voice/data telecommunications
d. Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system(s)
e. Cisco hardware
f. PEXIP system
2. Works under the direction of the VA to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results and/or project objectives.
3. Responsible for projects within the technical area.
4. Responsible for process and procedures within the technical area.
5. Maintain system readiness and ensure fully operational.
6. Maintain utilization reports, tracking scheduled and unscheduled events, record issues and identify potential risks to operations for future engineering review and trend analysis.
7. Review/baseline the current environment and configuration.
8. Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports and related documents as required by ITOPS IO standards or other directives provided by the Government COR/VA PM.
9. Prepare reports required for tracking progress as required.
10. Perform analysis on immerging technologies and software. Research solutions online or via other sources for market research information and prepare results for COR Per COR Instructions.
11. Develop technical solutions, working with internal experts and vendors, to understand impact of end-product.
12. Review, analyze, and provide recommended updates to all operational and maintenance procedures.
13. Adhere to task order specifications and established policies and procedures by reporting any noted discrepancies to the COR, Government VA PM, or management.
14. Produce high quality technical documents (technical writing skills).

- Cross boundary communications on a daily basis to effectively accomplish work.
- Proficiency in MS software products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook and Visio, as well as SharePoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
